FAQ

What is funtional food?

Food or food ingredient can be described as functional when they have other health benefits in addition to the basic nutritional function. By proven physiological effects on the human organism, they have the ability, for example, to reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases. Often functional foods are often enriched with pro- and prebiotics, vitamins, minerals, resp. a wide range of bioactive ingredients that have proven physiological effects on consumer health.

Can children consume this food?

Yes, our products are free to consume for all ages.

What are probiotics?

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization (FAO / WHO), probiotics are defined as living microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, support the health of the consumer. However, in order to achieve the health benefits, it is necessary that the probiotic bacteria in the product be viable, active and at a concentration of at least 106KTJ/g throughout the shelf life of the product. Probiotics most commonly used in probiotic products are predominantly of the genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.

What are prebiotics?

Prebiotics are defined as indigestible food ingredients that are utilized in the intestine by the present, mostly probiotic microbiotic, thereby promoting its growth and activity. Oligo- and galactooligosaccharides have gained central attention among prebiotics, referring to their ability to selectively promote the growth of selected species of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.

What are synbiotics?

Synbiotics are a combination of probiotics and prebiotics.

What is the role of prebiotics and probiotics in the intestine?

The composition of the intestinal microbiota is significantly influenced by the diet. Our digestive tract is colonized by more than 400 bacterial species with a concentration of 1013 – 1014 bacteria/g. A sufficient intake of prebiotics in the diet thus stimulates the growth of probiotics in the large intestine, which have innumerable benefits to the health of the consumer. If the probiotics are present in sufficient amounts in the intestine, they can inhibit the growth of undesirable microorganisms and at the same time have proven immunomodulatory effects.

What are proteins?

Proteins are the basic building block of our cells. They also serve to restore, regenerate and are the basis for the immune system and hormonal regulation. They consist of amino acids.

What is collagen?

Collagen is a protein that forms the basic building block of connective tissue. It also participates in the restoration and proper functioning of all living cells. It accounts for 30% of total protein in the body and 70% of protein in the skin.

What are the benefits of collagen consumption?

With increasing age, collagen production in the body decreases, thereby weakening the body structures. Regular collagen intake therefore ensures proper firmness and elasticity of the skin as well as firmness of bones, joints, nails, hair and teeth. It also slows aging, promotes healing and regeneration processes in the body.
